Baby Gifts

This year I decided I would make gifts for my friends rather than purchase something from a store. Homemade gifts make it so much more personal and shows the love you put into it (even if it doesn't turn out quite how you imagined...)

This past week I went to Michigan so I could help my sister-in-law and her family after the birth of her baby girl, Abigail :) Not knowing what she was having before, I decided on a yarn that would be easy to add a pink bow to. I couldn't resist making mittens and a couple headbands as well :) The blanket pattern I got from Lion Brand. I didn't make the hood. The mittens, headband and hat I just made up myself.

These are for a friend of mine who also does not know the sex of the baby. I guess this is happening a lot more these days - the excitement of a surprise! The cocoon I also made up and it was pretty simple. I just looked up measurements for other cocoons and based mine off of them.

Swiffer Covers

I am not sure why I haven't thought to do this before but once it came to mind I got right on it! Swiffer covers! I have wasted so much money in the past, sigh.

These are some of the covers I have made. They are awesome at picking up gross stuff and scrubbing off dried things. I do have the pattern but I am working on selling it on etsy soon.
